JANUARY BREAKFAST MEETING

Don’t forget that this year we again have a Breakfast Meeting in January in anticipation of a mild month. This is on the 23rd at the Pea Green Café, SY8 1RZ, from 9.30 am onwards. Last year’s January event at Mid West Moto was well attended so let’s hope this one will be as well.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The section AGM will be held at the Bell on Monday 9th March, 7.30 for 8.00pm. Please note that any items for inclusion on the agenda must be submitted to the secretary or any committee member by the February club night (10th). Please remember to bring your VMCC membership card in case voting is required on any item.

COMMITTEE MEMBER

December’s newsletter included an appeal for a volunteer to become a committee member. We were looking for a dynamic, dedicated and hardworking person bursting with innovative ideas to take the section forward.

We are pleased to announce that Howard Williams has agreed to take this on, all must agree that he ticks all the above boxes!

FISH & CHIP NIGHT WITH QUIZ.

February’s club night on the 10th will be the annual fish and chip night with quiz. The cost will be £6.00 and it would be helpful if I could collect the money tonight. If not, then please let me know as soon as possible so that I can let the Bell know the numbers. The quiz will be devised by Bill Danks and Steve Morris again, many thanks to them for agreeing to do this.

PROGRAMME FOR 2020

The 2020 programme is available on the VMCC website and also on the section website and we have printed copies available tonight for those without internet access. Limited numbers of the VMCC’s Calendar of Events are also available tonight.

APRIL CLUB NIGHT WORKSHOP TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES.

After many years restoring or just tinkering in your garage there may be tools or techniques [or bodges even ] which you have found to be really useful. With this in mind we are planning that our April club night has a presentation of members own favourite items. If you would like to show the rest of the group your favourite tool or technique can you bring it along on the night or if possible send Howard a picture via his e-mail [bsawilliams@yahoo.co.uk] as we may be able to project your picture onto the big screen !

I have three small items to bring and will raffle these off at the end of the evening to help with club funds if all goes to plan.

If you can let me know that you would like to demonstrate your item this would be helpful but please feel free to just turn up on the night.Richard Caddick
